More About Us
Complaints
Our guaranteed priority is to provide you with a satisfactory service that is both professional and safe. Please do not hesitate to contact us if we fall short of this so that we can resolve the matter speedily and to your best satisfaction.
Your complaint/concern will be responded to within the next two working days and does not affect your right to using our service in the future.
Confidentiality- quality of recording
- number of persons on recording
- length of recording
- the type of transcribing required
These factors may affect our ability to complete work required on the same day.
We will do our very best to meet agreed deadlines but from time to time this may not be possible due to unforeseen problems or other circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to illness, changes in agreed delivery, arrangements; but we will always keep you informed.
When the client submits either their work to be done or a quotation request, we will send an Order form or a Quotation. The client must sign and return the Order form or Quotation as work cannot be undertaken without it.
Amendments
The client accepts full responsibility for final proofreading, and accuracy of documents, final product or service.
We will correct any errors or omissions we make free of charge if they are brought to our attention within 3 days from the date of completed works being returned to the client.
We will make a charge for any other additions or amendments that the client requires.
Pricing Structure
Typing that is required the same day, on weekends or Bank Holidays will incur a 40% surcharge in addition to our basic rates.
On average a one hour recorded tape takes about 4 hours to type although this will depend on the type of transcribing required as well as the audio quality. Please refer to our Price List for a more comprehensive guide to our charges.
The quotation price is based on the required specifications and the estimate of time needed to complete work; and therefore may be different to the actual invoice price due to changes in specifications and the real time taken to complete work. Please refer to our Turnaround Times for more information.
Cancellation
We reserve the right to cancel any work, though we will not do so unreasonably. The completed work and remaining uncompleted work together with any CDs, DVDs or other media will be returned. The client will be issued with an invoice only for the cost of the work that has been done.
If the client cancels a work request after returning the signed Order/Quotation, a cancellation fee of £20 becomes due by the client. Any work that has been done will be invoiced and must be paid for immediately.
Invoices will be submitted on completion of work and must be paid within 14 days from invoice date.
The client is responsible for reimbursing any bank charges incurred as a result of unpaid cheques.
We accept the following methods of payment:-
Cheque made payable to Tape Type
Bank Transfer by contacting your Bank quoting the following:-
Sort Code: 40-03-27 Account No: 91823094 Ref: Your Invoice Number
Online Secure Payment via PayPal accepting all major debit and credit cards
Overdue Payments
If an invoice remains unpaid by the due date, the client will be sent weekly reminders at a cost of £15 for each reminder sent. In these instances no further work will be undertaken for the client until the invoice is paid and any work in progress will cease (thereby affecting completion date) until outstanding invoices are settled.

The standard font for all documents typed will be Times New Roman 12 unless the client requests otherwise.
Unfortunately it is not our practice to accept personal visitors to our offices.
