All abbreviations (e.g. don't and couldn't) and all fillers (e.g. "you know", "umms" and "errs").

All repeated words.

All non-standard  language (e.g. aint).

Throat clearing, coughing, etc. only if requested.

Time coding indicated at the beginning, middle and towards the end of transcribing.  If time coding is required at the change of each speaker, this will incur an additional charge.

Please indicate if you would like text rendered into grammatically correct sentences.

Where words are unclear, these will be indicated by question marks enclosed in brackets (??).  It is the client’s responsibility to check the document and advise us of the correct insertion to be made.  These corrections will be made free of charge if we are informed within 3 days of work being completed.


STANDARD AS DEFINED BY TAPE TYPE


Where there is more than one person in the recording, we will indciate persons as "speaker 1", "speaker 2" and so on, unless you inform us otherwise.  In an interview we will indicate persons as "interviewer" and "interviewee", unless you inform us otherwise. 

All speech habits, such as “umm”, “you know”, are excluded unless you inform us otherwise.

Time coding is not included unless you inform us otherwise.  This will incur a charge.

Where time coding is requested, we will indicate the time codings at the beginning, middle and towards the end of the transcribing.  If time coding is required at the change of each speaker, this will incur an additional charge.
